Isabel Richiusas Kompositionen im Projekt Columns of Sound überschreiten den Hafen des Jazz und führen an schwebende, poetische und sphärische Orte. Isabel Richiusa’s compositions in the project Columns of Sound transcend the harbour of jazz to reach floaty, poetic, and spheric places. Through a willingness to show vulnerability and fragility, they move between emotional depth and clarity, calm and intensity, emotion and intellect. The compositions reflect on everyday ‘being’: floating, intimate, and expressive music that draws its strength from rhythm and takes on melodically virtuosic forms always staying true to the core and meaning of the song.
